Research department of national measurement standards of electromagnetic quantities, time and frequency
(Department № 11)

The department conducts such types of metrological works:

• development and maintenance of national measurement and other subordinate standards of Ukraine of electromagnetic quantities, time and frequency;
• conformity assessment of measuring instruments (MIs);
• verification of legal MIs;
• calibration of measurement standards, testing equipment and MIs;
• identifying metrological characteristics of MIs;
• provision of services for the transmission of Kyiv time signals, synchronized with the national measurement standard of time and frequency by PTP/NTP protocols;
• development and expertise of regulatory, methodical and technical documentation;
• precision measurement of electromagnetic quantities, time and frequency.

The department consists of:

• Research laboratory for measurement of time and frequency (Laboratory № 11-1)
• Research laboratory of national measurement standards of electric power and impedance (Laboratory № 11-2)
