Research department for measurement of electrical quantities
(Department № 29)

The department consists of:

• Research laboratory of national measurement standards of electrical voltage and current strength (Laboratory № 29-1)
• Research laboratory of mobile measurement standards (Laboratory № 29-2)

The department conducts such types of metrological works: 

• conformity assessment of legal measuring instruments (MIs);
• verification of legal MIs;
• calibration of measurement standards, testing equipment and MIs;
• identifying metrological characteristics of MIs;
• testing of MIs;
• development a high - precision measurement standards of electrical voltage and current strength;
• research on the stability of higher accuracy measurement standards;
• interlaboratory comparisons according to the measuring scope of department;
• development of procedures of performing metrological works.

By preliminary agreement, department provides services on-site where MIs are operated.
