Research-methodical and organizational department for conformity assessment of measuring instruments
(department № 28)  

The main tasks and functions of the department:

• participating in the development of regulatory and organizational documents which are regulated activities in the sphere of conformity assessment of measuring instruments (MIs);
• providing information and research-methodical support on the organization and conducting works of conformity assessment of MIs to the other designated conformity assessment bodies, metrology services of enterprises and organizations, measuring instruments producers;
• providing explanations about the types of MIs which are under legal control to the different stakeholders;
• carrying out a research and technical expertise of technical documentation, providing conclusions to the stakeholders regarding need to conduct the conformity assessment of measuring instruments;
• maintaining the Register of approved types of measuring instruments and providing information from this Register to the stakeholders;
• summarizing the obtained results of conformity assessment works of MIs carried out by SE “UKRMETRTESTSTANDART”.
