On 6 June 2018, the first institutional meeting of the Intersectoral group of bodies appointed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine for conformity assessment in accordance with the Technical Regulations on Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments, the Technical Regulations on Measuring Instruments and the Technical Regulations on Legal Measuring Instruments was held on the basis of the SE "UKRMETRTESTSTANDART". 
"This is the first and important step that will allow us to accelerate and improve cooperation at all levels," said PhD Yurii KUZMENKO, Deputy Director General of the SE "UKRMETRTESTSTANDART" for metrology, CIML Member from Ukraine in his welcome address to the audience. During the meeting, colleagues from the NSC "Institute of Metrology", SE "Kharkivstandartmetrologiia", SE "Poltavastandartmetrologiia", SE "Ivano-Frankivskstandartmetrologiia", SE "Kryvbasstandartmetrologiia" were elected:

PhD Yurii KUZMENKO, Deputy Director General for Metrology, the Intersectoral Group Chairman;

Viktoriia POSTNIKOVA, Director of the NSC "Institute of Metrology", the Intersectoral Group Deputy Chairman.

During the meeting it was decided to establish permanent Working Groups (WG), in particular:

• WG1 "Conformity assessment procedures for measuring instruments";
• WG2 "Software for measuring instruments";
• WG3 "Weighing instruments";
• WG4 "Electricity meters";
• WG5 "Gas meters and transmitters";
• WG6 "Water and heat meters";
• WG7 "Instruments for the continuous and dynamic measurement of liquids other than water";WG8 "Medical devices with measuring function" and the temporary Working Group "Technical Regulations on Legal Measuring Instruments".
