International affairs - Institute 2

Yelizaveta TARASENKO Director of the Research and Production Institute for Measurement of the Composition, Properties and Quantity of Substances and Materials and Assessing the Conformity of Measuring Instruments (Institute № 2) is a Member of Inorganic analysis working group (CCQM-IAWG) and PROFICIENCY TESTING SCHEME OR ROUND FOR YOUR LABORATORY (EPTIS).

Institute represents Ukraine in the international measurement community as:

  • a full member in Eurachem (a network of organizations in Europe focusing for analytical chemistry and quality). Eurachem's technical activity is carried out by its various working groups (WGs). Our specialists currently take an active part in the following WGs: Measurement Uncertainty and Traceability and Qualitative Analysis;
  • a representative of the institute is an observer in the EURAMET Technical Committee for Metrology in Chemistry (TC - MC), it’s a Joint EURAMET - Eurachem TC.  The Institute as the Secretariat of the TC for Standardization TC 122 "Analysis of gases, liquids and solids". 
    Participates in the in the work of ISO TCs for Metrology in Chemistry.

  • ISO/TC 193/1 - Analysis of natural gas;
  • ISO/TC 193/SC 1 - Analysis of natural gas.

  • ISO/TC 146/SC 1;
  • ISO/TC 146/SC 2;
  • ISO/TC 146/SC 3;
  • ISO/TC 146/SC 4;
  • ISO/TC 146/SC 6.

Representative of the Institute is an Official Observer in the Consultative Committee for Amount of Substance: Metrology in Chemistry and Biology (CCQM) of the International Committee of Weights and Measures (CIPM). Ukrainian representatives are members of the CCQM working groups:

  • Gas analysis working group (GAWG);
  • Electrochemical analysis working group (EAWG);
  • Inorganic analysis working group (CCQM-IAWG).

Institute has created and maintains 11 National measurement standards (NMSs) to meet the needs of customers in the field of high-precision measurement of metrology in chemistry, temperature, photometry and radiometry, mass and related quantities:

  • DETU 03-05-11 National measurement standard of units of volume, mass, volume and mass flow rate of hot water;
  •                           State measurement standard of kinematic viscosity of liquids;
  • NDETU M-06-2019 National standard of mass in the range from 2 kg to 20 kg;
  • NDETU M-08-2020 National measurement standard of volume and volume flow of gas in the pressure range from 1.6 MPa to 5 MPa;
  • NDETU M-09-2020 National measurement standard of density of liquids;
  • DETU 11-11-13 National measurement standard of refraction index unit of liquid and solid substances and materials in visible spectrum;
  • DETU 05-04-13 National measurement standard of gas humidity;
  • DETU 05-01-15 National measurement standard of  mole fraction of components in gases;
  • DETU 05-02-04 National measurement standard of electrolytic conductivity of liquids;
  • DETU 05-03-07 National measurement standard of pH;
  •                           State measurement standard of moisture in solids.
