Ukraine Participates in EURAMET Training Course on QMS Review

From 11-13 November 2025, Dr. Ihor Pototskyi, Director of the Research and Technical Institute of the National Metrology Service of Ukraine, participated in the EURAMET Training Course on the Review of Quality Management Systems (QMS). The course was hosted by INTA (Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial) in Torrejón de Ardoz, Spain.

The three-day programme focused on the practical aspects of QMS reviewing and peer evaluation under the CIPM MRA and Regional Metrology Organisations (RMOs). Key topics included:

  • Structure and operational processes of EURAMET TC-Q;
  • Interaction between the CIPM MRA, RMOs and associated monitoring procedures;
  • Peer review vs accreditation - theory and practice;
  • QMS review procedure (G-TCQ-PRC-001);
  • Requirements for peer reviewers, including remote reviewing;
  • Specifics of peer reviews in physical, chemical and biological metrology;
  • Preparation and analysis of QMS Annual Reports;
  • Practical group exercises and case studies (involving CMI, GUM, VTT, CEM, INRIM and IPQ);
  • Study visits to two INTA facilities: ◦ INTA Space Centre (CEIT) ◦ Centro de Astrobiología (CAB).

Dr. Pototskyi’s participation strengthened Ukraine’s national approach to QMS assessment, provided practical tools for enhancing quality systems in Ukrainian metrology institutions, and further deepened cooperation with the European metrology community.
